Welcome Y’all to Studio 457 located at 582 Fisher Street, Shop #3 in Matagorda, Texas!

Studio 457 proudly displays & sells  artwork from coastal Texas artisans.

Kaleigh Glover is an artist working and residing in the coastal city of Corpus Christi, Texas. Born in Bay City and having family roots throughout South Texas, she chose to move back down south and attend art school at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi after a long journey of experiences in South Carolina & a couple cities in North Texas. A beach lover since childhood, the location of The Island University was appealing, and she decided to stay here after graduating with her Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2016 to keep creating art and loving life by the coast! Being outdoors surrounded by plants and near the water is where Kaleigh feels best, and her artwork reflects her love of nature and it’s inhabitants found around the Texas coast and country- side. She primarily works with acrylic paint, applying it to canvas, wood, and walls, but also occa- sionaly uses oil paint, watercolor, and sculpts when materials and resources are available. She also enjoys designs and decorating, organizing the art displays of local artwork at Nueces Brewing Co. in Corpus Christi, teaches the occasional paint class, and has started a merchandise line with her fiance, Kyle, called Gone Coastal Texas. In 2018, she started The Art Project, LLC to cap all of her creative endeavors.

Zeinab Ghais was born in Iowa to a Scottish mother and a Lebanese father, Zeinab spent her youth traveling the world and living in Africa and the Middle East. Growing up, she was surrounded by exotic textiles and furniture, which informed her sense of style and gave her a love of design and art. Zeinab earned a BFA in Furniture Design and a minor in art history, from Savannah College of Art & Design. She began her career as an interior designer, but over the years expanded the breadth of her work to include her multiple talents. In addition to interior design, Zeinab also designs exterior spaces, stages interiors, murals, and creates original artwork, and custom furniture for her clients. A designer and regional manager for Smith & Noble for nearly a decade, Zeinab also is a window treatment expert. In 2012, she appeared on HGTV’s hit show The White Room Challenge. Her work also has been featured in Apartment Therapy, Voyage LA, Shout Out LA, and SD Voyager. In 2020, two of her paintings were selected for the Pasadena Showcase Home. Zeinab has worked with hundreds of clients throughout the Southwestern U.S. Her overarching design philosophy is that a home ought to reflect the person who lives in it. And she prides herself on listening to her clients’ needs and wants and translating them into beautiful timeless designs. She enjoys bringing a fresh perspective, energy, as well as infectious charm, to every endeavor. Zeinab lives in Texas and works with clients throughout the country.

No, we don’t need more sleep. It’s our souls that are tired, not our bodies. We need nature. We need magic. We need adventure. We need freedom. We need truth. We need stillness. We don’t need more sleep, we need to wake up and live. -Brooke Hampton ... See MoreSee Less
